Your Complete Health, Safety and Environmental Service

Every year people die from electrocution at work.  Many deaths are from people using portable appliances, defined as appliances which have a plug.  If you employ people, or have visits from members of the public, then you should by law maintain your electrical equipment and keep records of maintenance.  The simplest way to do this is by regular Portable Appliance Testing – PAT.  For a small fee per item you can have each appliance checked and receive a certificate.  In conjunction with Ampa Associates we are currently offering a 20% discount to our clients who commission a testing contract (regular price £1.25 per item).

Hints and Tips!!

In this month’s edition we are bringing to you a special ‘hints and tips’ installment – Each one of our sales team has given us one of their very own tricks of the trade, so take them, use them and let us know how well it worked for you!!!

Ida Iannone says

‘When building my pipeline report in ACT, I always put in a new opportunity based on the likeliness of it closing in a particular month.  This helps our finance department plan and forecast more effectively.  If its likely to come in and be invoiced by the end of the month then it’s 90 – 100%, if it’s a sale, but we are not delivering the project for 2 months then it would be more like 70%.’

Kevin Pepper says

‘I always use Citrix or terminal services to access my systems remotely as this speeds up transactions from home to the office.’

Tim Herbert says

‘It’s often worth checking to see if your website can be found using Google – if you can’t find your own site, how do you expect your customers to find it?’

Mark Roberts says

‘I always make sure my windows updates are installed – this way I get the most effective use from my operating system.’
